The story of Burma Bibas is one of the most compelling in the industry. During the Second World War, silk was nearly impossible to obtain. But innovator and founder Samuel Klaus was dedicated to using the highest quality fabric for his hand-painted, Burmese-inspired prints. So, in a classic example of American ingenuity, Klaus purchased silk parachutes from the United States Military and used the supplies to start his brand. Over 80 years later, Burma Bibas remains a brand of eminent class and distinction and is one of the oldest family operated menswear companies in America. Since 1926.
